About Us
We are a supported housing project for women, providing immediate care and compassion for any woman who finds herself homeless and in need. We offer a home, not accommodation!
BASE Women’s Housing was formally Wild Oyster CIC. We are the same social enterprise with the same values, ethos, service delivery and mission.
First and foremost, we provide a safe place to live. All houses are of a high standard, clean and well maintained. We have a mix of en-suite rooms and shared facilities, all with a homely, community feel.
Our team work alongside tenants to coach them through difficulties and slowly change negative patterns, helping them better their own lives. We create opportunities and offer assistance to encourage tenants to design a life that they want to live. We support with everything from tenancy sustainment, independent living skills and budgeting to mindfulness coaching, friendship building and creative therapies. We also work in partnership with local specialist services and community groups to make sure that tenants are receiving all the support that’s available.
Our homes provide a supportive community for women to live settled, happy and authentic lives. Our approach is aspirational and grounded.
